Jessica Albery

Jessica Albery came across OutdoorGearLab while obsessively researching backpacking gear. She values thoroughness and factual information and enjoys the scientific approach to testing gear. Jessica has a BA in Journalism from California State University, Chico. After graduating, she moved up to Tahoe for “one season” and has now called the area home for over a decade.

Jessica comes from a background in the outdoor industry, coaching snowboarding, working for the state parks, and has had a plethora of odd jobs. When not reviewing gear she enjoys snowboarding, hiking, and camping. She also enjoys trying out new recipes and reading novels with a cup of tea.
